Here, we provide highly specialized care for patients with peripheral vascular diseases. Our staff works broadly and variedly, as we investigate and treat patients with various types of vascular diseases of both medical and surgical nature. The most common surgical conditions in our practice are carotid stenosis, aortic aneurysm, and critical ischemia, which are treated both endovascularly and with open surgery. The medical diagnoses mainly include pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis, and malignant hypertension. Patients may have short or long hospital stays and are of varying ages.

We are one of the profile areas of Skåne University Hospital and are responsible for vascular care in the southwestern and central healthcare districts in Skåne and for the highly specialized treatment of vascular diseases throughout the Southern healthcare region. Although we are specialized and at the forefront, we are a smaller area, which contributes to a personal and relaxed atmosphere.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a nursing assistant with us, you have an important role in being the one closest to the patient, and your main focus is to provide them with care and support. A large part of your work consists of preparing the patient for surgery and providing postoperative care. You will join an organization that is at the forefront of its field, where the patient flow is high. This creates a job with pace, varied tasks, and sometimes acute situations.

You will work in pairs with a nurse, and together you will provide person-centered care, based on the needs of each patient. With us, you will work in a well-knit team, where good collaboration and respect for each other's competencies are crucial to providing the best care for the patient.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant with a focus on emergency care according to the previous program structure, or are a trained nursing assistant within the new program structure who has studied all specializations. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. We see that you have previous experience as a nursing assistant, preferably from work in hospitals or in primary care. If you have experience in pre- and/or postoperative care or with vascular patients, we consider this an advantage. It is also an advantage if you have experience with documentation in Melior.

This is a position for you who enjoy working within a specialized environment where you gain in-depth knowledge in the field of vascular care. You are motivated to be closest to the patient and can meet individuals from different backgrounds and needs while always working with the patient's best interests in focus. As the department has a high influx of patients, the pace of work is varied, and acute situations may arise. We would like you to have the ability to remain calm and prioritize between tasks as well as make decisions. In your contact with both patients and colleagues, you have a positive and humble demeanor, and you are happy to share your knowledge and contribute to a good atmosphere in the workgroup. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
